Important information
Please give as much notice as possible for bookings to avoid disappointment. We will always do our best to accommodate last minute requests, but unfortunately it's not always possible, especially during the busier holiday periods such as school holidays/bank holiday weekends. We often schedule bookings months in advance for these times!
Bear in mind Nicola is a practising Veterinary Nurse working shifts and we each have other personal commitments, so we're limited as to how many bookings we can schedule per day. Our longer duration than standard visits ensure each visit is not rushed and each cat gets all their needs met, which also means we only have so many spaces available each day. Quality over quantity!
2024 - We are now fully booked or unavailable on the following dates
1st - 13th October
25th - 27th October
16th/17th November
7th/8th December
27th - 29th December
Limited space available for the Christmas/New Year period!
We do sometimes have slots become available due to cancellations, so get in touch to enquire!
2025 - Cookie’s Cat Care will be temporarily closed for business from the 24th March- 12th May 2025. We will be unable to take bookings or respond to any enquiries for this 7 week period. Thankyou for your understanding and continued support!
About us
“Hello, I’m Nicola Cook (Cookie!), the owner of Cookie’s Cat Care.
I have 15 years of experience in the Veterinary Industry as a Veterinary Nurse and still practice part time. This varied role has given me substantial knowledge of feline health, welfare and behaviour. I am trained in first aid, can competently administer a wide range of medications and am well educated on many feline diseases and conditions; I have decided to use this knowledge and my eternal love of cats as the foundations of this business.
I have been a cat owner and lover for over 30 years; I’ve had a natural affinity for cats for as long as I can remember! Choosing to start my own cat care business has been a natural progression in my career with animals - I’m eager to meet and care for your beloved ball of fluff, treating them with as much love as if they were my own.
I’ve lived in Sheffield all my life and currently reside in Norton Lees with my partner. Up until recently I had a beautiful, black long haired cat of my own called Cassius (he can be seen throughout my website!) but sadly I lost him in September 2023. I am currently a fosterer for Cats Protection, providing unwanted or abandoned cats with a safe, temporary space before they go to their forever home, which I absolutely love doing!
In my spare time I enjoy cycling, outdoor swimming, reading, trying out new recipes, spending time out in the Peak District with family and friends and of course, spending time with cats!”
Exciting news!
Cookie’s Cat Care is expanding! Please welcome Siobhan Oxley who will be joining me as a partner in Spring 2024!
I have known Siobhan for over 20 years - she is a trusted and close friend of mine and most importantly she is an avid cat owner and lover!
She is currently undertaking courses in feline first aid, health, welfare and behaviour to bring her up to the high standards of care provided by Cookie’s Cat Care. She will be shadowing me at meet and greets and on bookings as part of her induction. (This will of course be discussed beforehand should you already have an existing booking with me).
To begin with, Siobhan will be available for cat sitting bookings for cats who are fit and well and do NOT require medication to be administered. If she was however to have any concerns about your cats health, I will be available and on ‘stand by’ for veterinary advice, as will your registered vet.
She has her own unmarked vehicle with a full, clean driving license, a clear DBS check in place and a policy with a specialist pet business insurer in line with my existing protocol.
I feel this is a positive step for Cookie’s Cat Care as it will open up so much more availability for bookings (especially during the busy summer periods!), enabling us to provide the cats of Sheffield with a unique and bespoke cat sitting service!

About Siobhan
“Hi I’m Siobhan! I have lived in Sheffield all my life, local to Nicola, with my partner, 2 children and lovely older cat Millie. Millie is 12 and is a black, domestic short hair. Despite Millie being in her later years she still loves to play but most of all enjoys naps in the sunshine!
I have always been a cat owner and lover and I am very excited to be joining Nicola within Cookie’s Cat Care.
I have previous experience in hospitality, customer service and have also run my own successful business. I feel working within the animal care sector is something I have always wanted to do and now my dream has come true working alongside Nicola! I am excited to further my feline knowledge to provide the best possible care in line with Nicola’s high standards. I have my own car with full clean driving licence and clear DBS check. I am also insured with a specialist policy with Petplan Sanctuary for peace of mind.
In my spare time I like to take part in outdoor activities with my children - we enjoy camping and being at the beach as a family.
I look forward to meeting you and getting to know your fluffy family members!”
