About us

Nicola

“Hello, I’m Nicola Cook (Cookie!), the founder of Cookie’s Cat Care.

I have 16 years of experience in the Veterinary Industry as a practising Veterinary Nurse. This varied role has given me substantial knowledge of feline health, welfare and behaviour. I am trained in first aid, can competently administer a wide range of medications and am well educated on many feline diseases and conditions; I have decided to use this knowledge and my eternal love of cats as the foundations of this business.

I have been a cat owner and lover for over 30 years; I’ve had a natural affinity for cats for as long as I can remember! Choosing to start my own cat care business has been a natural progression in my career with animals - I’m eager to meet and care for your beloved ball of fluff, treating them with as much love as if they were my own.

I’ve lived in Sheffield all my life and currently reside in Norton Lees. I had a beautiful, black long haired cat called Cassius (he can be seen throughout this website!) but sadly he passed away in September 2023.

In my spare time I enjoy cycling, outdoor swimming, reading, trying out new recipes, spending time out in the Peak District with family and friends and of course, spending time with cats!”

Siobhan

“Hi I’m Siobhan! I have lived in Sheffield all my life, local to Nicola, with my partner, 2 children and lovely older cat Millie. Millie is 14 and is a black, domestic short hair. Despite her being in her later years she still loves to play but most of all enjoys naps in the sunshine!

I have always been a cat owner and lover and to bring my knowledge up to speed I’ve completed certified courses covering aspects of feline health, welfare, behaviour and first aid.

I have an unmarked vehicle with a full, clean driving license, a clear DBS check in place and a policy with a specialist pet business insurer.

I have previous experience in hospitality, customer service and have also run my own successful business. I feel working within the animal care sector is something I have always wanted to do and now my dream has come true working alongside Nicola!

In my spare time I like to take part in outdoor activities with my children - we enjoy camping and being at the beach as a family.

I look forward to meeting you and getting to know your fluffy family members!”

“I hope that if I return and continue Cookie's Cat Care that I'll have the chance to care for your fur babies again - I care so deeply about you all and I’m so grateful for your trust and loyalty, I couldn’t have wished for more wonderful clients!

I really, truly love each and every cat I've cared for as if they're my own”

    Much love, Cookie xxx
